National Health Education Advocacy Summit, Washington, DC

As part of its advocacy function, the National Center for Health Education (NCHE) is one of nine partner organizations that participate in planning and convening the Annual National Health Education Advocacy Summit in Washington, DC. The goal of the summit is to increase the capacity of individual health education professionals to engage in effective advocacy at the national, state, and local levels, and to organize them annually to conduct visits with Congressional representatives in Washington, DC, to speak with a collective voice on priority legislative issues of vital interest to the health education community at a critical point in the development of each year's Federal budget.

Joining NCHE in this advocacy effort are the American Association for Health Education, American College Health Association, American Public Health Association, American School Health Association, Association of State and Territorial Directors of Health Promotion and Public Health Education, Coalition of National Health Education Organizations, Eta Sigma Gamma, Society for Public Health Education, and Society of State Directors of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation.
