NCHE's convening function involves bringing together representatives of diverse groups and interests who are concerned with the promotion of health in order to design more creative approaches to health education. NCHE has brought together groups to discuss issues such as the successes and failures of health education centers, patient education, worksite health education, and health planning. NCHE also fulfills this function by convening groups of representatives who are serviced by one or more of NCHE's projects or programs. Frequently, meetings, workshops, and conferences are held for representatives from school districts that implement Growing Healthy and sites benefiting from the Growing Healthy: Youth, Parents, & Communities Project.
