Project Facilitators

A project facilitator is a person at the state or local level that coordinates the Growing Healthy program. These people may be teachers, school nurses, district health coordinators, hospital employees, state health coordinators, or funding source representatives. They serve as the connection between the National Center for Health Education and the local Growing Healthy programs.

Growing Healthy project facilitators:

Serve as resource people for questions and answers regarding the Growing Healthy program and keep NCHE apprised of local community needs.

Advocate for comprehensive school health education while informing NCHE about district and state statutes that relate to comprehensive school health education.

Coordinate and promote the Growing Healthy program at their sites and publicize successful Growing Healthy classrooms.

Collect data regarding Growing Healthy trainings, including the number of teachers trained and the schools where teachers are implementing the program.
